Reflective Practice
Reflective practice can be described as the act of looking back towards (reflection on action), or looking closely at an experience taking place in the here and now (reflection in action). The word ‘action’ is important. Reflective Practice encourages individuals to access and act upon new insights, develop and consolidate new skills, strengthen professional practice and make value-based decisions. At its heart, Reflective Practice is a future focussed structure that values the needs of the practitioner.
Individuals engaged in a regular, structured process of reflective practice often experience a greater sense of purpose and feel more supported and confident in their ability to respond to work based demands.
Tony is dedicated to providing high quality and professional reflective practice. He has taught Reflective Practice as part of the MA in Leadership offered by Sarum College, Salisbury.
